Love where you are.
Sundays • 10a @ Woods Charter School
We’re The Local (unapologetically inclusive, Jesus-centered) Church.
Both things can be true. Following in the way of Jesus, who welcomed the stranger, ate with the marginalized, disrupted the status quo, and challenged the powerful, The Local Church is committed to the work of LGBTQ+ inclusion, anti-racism, and care for creation in our pursuit of heaven on earth. We want to help you take your next step on the way of Jesus. Start here.
We gather at Woods Charter School in Chapel Hill every Sunday at 10 a.m., and our worship together is real, relevant, and engaging. We know visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating, but we promise not to embarrass you or single you out in any way. Learn more about what to expect below.
Our worship is affirming, anchoring, and empowering.
The Local Church exists wherever you are.
Church is more than a place; it’s a movement, and everybody’s local somewhere. We partner with agencies and non-profits in our community and beyond to support the good work they’re already doing. And where a need isn’t met, we mobilize to make it happen. Jesus came to bring healing and liberation. That’s why we’re here, too.
Where you go, we go.
From the latest Sunday message to interviews with community leaders, our podcast feed is full of enriching, relevant content to get you through the commute, the carpool line, the chore list — and everything in between.
Jesus wouldn’t spam you. We won’t either. But we’d love to stay in touch. 💌
We send out a weekly email with encouragement, some meaningful content, and ways to take your next step. Sign up below.
