Prayer is paying attention.
In her poem, "The Summer Day," Mary Oliver wrote, "I don't know exactly what a prayer is. I do know how to pay attention..."
As we go about the rhythms of our day — going to school or work, meeting, sharing, eating, sleeping — there are things that surprise us and strike us, leaving us breathless, or catching us off guard. There are things that drop us to your knees in thanksgiving and things that leave us with lumps in our throats. As a faith community committed to being with and for one another, our community, and the world, we want to share in these things — in your story — with you.
So what's breaking your heart? Where do you see pain in the world or in your own life? How can we be in prayer with you and for you?
Prayer requests are kept confidential and are prayed for individually by The Local Church Prayer and Care Team. If you'd like to learn more about this team, drop us an email!
