The Great Christmas Diaper Dump is Back

As we enter another holiday season, it is time to get the Diaper Dump in full swing. This will be our third year! Last year we topped 15k diapers which was amazing. This year we are making a couple of enhancements:

First, we’re supporting additional organizations. Along with Chatham County Social Services, we will also deliver diapers to The Salvation Army of Chatham and Durham Tech. We will also make sure that Love Chatham is provided a supply either directly or through The Salvation Army.

Second, you can get diapers to us in a number of ways.

  1. You can bring them to any service between now and the start of the new year, our Candlelight Carol Sing on December 18, or the Christmas Eve Celebration at The Barn of Chapel Hill.

  2. You can also drop them off at 79° West Hub in Mosaic (address below), Edge Aveda Men/Salon Wellness in Briar Chapel (58 Chapelton Court Suite #130, Chapel Hill, NC 27516), or the Edward Jones Office of Lee Shanklin (120 Lowes Dr., Suite 107, Pittsboro, NC 27312).

  3. If you need to order them and have them shipped, please send them to:

79° West Hub
Attn: Diaper Dump
367 Freedom Parkway
Suite 130
Pittsboro, NC 27312

Finally, if you want to let us do the shopping for you, please feel free to make a financial contribution by simply noting “Diaper Dump” in the notes.

As is the case with many items, diapers have not been spared from inflation. Prices have increased between 12-18% since the start of the pandemic. This has placed even more pressure on families who have limited financial resources. With that in mind, here are some picks that balance good quality with good price:

All sizes are needed, but we often have a special need for newborn diapers. If you feel also compelled to include wipes, please do.

As always, your generosity is so appreciated, and if you have any questions, contact Dan Harper.
