We don’t do members. We do Partners.

We think membership should be reserved for things like Costco and the YMCA and Amazon Prime — not the church. In fact, when people want to get involved, they don’t ask, “How do I become a member?” They’ll instead ask, "How do I become part of this?"

So at The Local Church, we do Partnership. It’s not about furthering institutions. It’s about strengthening relationships. It exists because we need each other.

We firmly believe that everyone who connects with The Local Church in any way is already a part of what God's doing among us. God’s prevenient grace makes that possible, and the invitation is already there. But Partnership necessitates a response. It’s never one-sided. Think of it this way: The Local Church has already said, “You’re a part of this.” This is your chance to respond, “I am a part of this” — in word and action.

That’s what makes Partners distinct. Partners have discerned a call to live into the work and way of being of The Local Church. In response to the love they’ve already received here, they're making an intentional decision to offer their prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness to help grow this abundant community and make God’s dream a reality — together.

If you want to become a Partner, simply complete the form linked above, and we will be back in touch. Want to know more before you commit? Schedule a time with Brent.

Three Reasons Partners are Important

1. Your commitment of prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness provide the backbone of TLC’s flourishing. As we continue to grow, we need your ideas, gifts, passion, and heart to keep this movement alive. The church is the people, and we need one another!

2. Your movement into partnership serves as a vital public witness that encourages others to do the same.

3. Our denomination uses Partnership as one (of many!) quantifiable measures of a church’s impact. By becoming a Partner, you’re demonstrating that this movement matters to this community and the world.
