ICYMI: Luke 2 // Sunrise

If you missed Sunday's service or could use a refresher, here's a quick recap featuring sharables and takeaways from our gathering. Scroll to the bottom for the full sermon recording.

📖 Focal Scripture

Luke 2:21–40

🎯 Reflection

We often want God’s revelation to be instantaneous. We want change to happen now. But in Simeon and Anna’s patient persistence, we see that the Light of the World may be less a light switch and more a sunrise. The arrival of Jesus may not change everything all at once, but the light of Christ, slowly but surely, illuminates even the darkest corners of our hearts and the world.

🗣️ Key Quotation

“The dawn breaks, and then slowly, almost imperceptibly, the light begins to color the world, illuminate the shadows, and drive out the darkness. That’s what Simeon and Anna discovered that day. And on this Epiphany Sunday, by God’s grace, this is the good news of the Light of the World for us, too.” — Rev. Brent Levy

🙏 Prayer

New every morning is your love, great God of light. With every sunrise, let my soul rise to meet you. May the gradual light of dawn be a daily reminder that your light is slowly but surely illuminating and revealing. Give me eyes to see and a heart to trust that your promises are true. Amen.
