Meet Isabel Packevicz!
We’re so excited for you to meet our new summer intern from Duke Divinity School, Isabel Packevicz!
Isabel grew up as a global nomad of sorts, floating between cities in China, America, and occasionally Thailand. After graduating from Gordon College with a degree in Biblical Studies, she spent four years working with youth and young adults at a retreat center in Connecticut. Her passion for continued study led her to Jerusalem, where she spent a year studying the history, geography, and archaeology of the Bible. After her time in Jerusalem, she relocated to Durham, where she began her MDiv at Duke Divinity School. Because of her own experience of faith and doubt, she is passionate about creating spaces of freedom and safety for people who have questions or have felt a lack of belonging in their faith communities. After spending last summer working at The Chautauqua Institution, she is excited to stay more local (literally!) this summer with The Local Church!
